Hormone therapy

When hormones drift, it shows up as fatigue, mood, sleep, libido and body composition long before you can name it. We test, treat and re-test.

Two paths, one method

Hormone care splits along fairly different lines for men and women, so we have written each one out separately. The method is the same either way: symptoms first, lab work to confirm, a plan sized to you, then follow-up labs to see whether it worked.

For men

Testosterone replacement for low T — fatigue, brain fog, lost strength, flat mood, reduced libido.

For women

Bioidentical hormone replacement through perimenopause and menopause — sleep, hot flashes, mood, libido, bone and skin.

Why we insist on labs

Hormone symptoms overlap with thyroid disease, anaemia, sleep apnoea, depression and plain overwork. Lab work is how we tell those apart instead of guessing, and how we know whether treatment is doing what we hoped. For hormone care, you should expect blood work before you start and again after you have been on a plan for a while.

Delivery methods

Depending on what suits your body and your routine, hormone therapy may be prescribed as injections, pellets, creams or oral medication. Each has real trade-offs in convenience, steadiness of levels and cost, and a licensed provider will walk you through them rather than defaulting to one.

Individual results vary. A licensed provider determines whether a treatment is appropriate for you.

Common questions

Before you book

How do I know whether my hormones are actually the problem?

You do not, from symptoms alone — and neither does anyone who tells you otherwise on day one. Fatigue, low mood, poor sleep, weight change and low libido are produced by thyroid disease, iron deficiency, sleep apnoea, depression and simple overwork just as readily as by hormones.

That is why the first visit is a history and lab work rather than a prescription. We read the numbers against how you actually feel, and if the answer is something other than hormones, we say so.

How long before I feel different?

Most people notice energy, mood and sleep shifting within the first several weeks. Body composition moves more slowly, over months, and only alongside training and protein. Individual results vary, and we would rather set that expectation now than have you judge the whole plan at week three.

Am I on this for life?

That is your decision, reviewed at every follow-up rather than assumed. Hormone therapy treats symptoms while you take it; if you stop, the symptoms it was managing generally return over time. Some people run a defined course and stop, some continue for years. We will tell you what stopping is likely to look like before you start.

Who will I actually see?

A licensed provider — our care team includes a physician associate and nurse practitioners, working under physician supervision. We will always tell you who you are booked with, and you can read about each of them on our team page before you come in.
